We are delighted that we have a new leader for our Community Choir.  Philip Prince is an expericenced local organist and leader of choirs and joins us from Saturday 18 February.  And with a new leader we have a new time slot of 1.30 to 3.30.

We are keen to welcome new members to our joyful Saturday singing sessions, so please join us.

We generally meet on the first and third Saturday of each month at St Mark’s Church, Cherry Orchard, Worcester, WR5 3DW.

Opera Worcester Secretary, Caroline Causier explains:

“After the restrictions of lockdown, people have really enjoyed the chance to meet with others, have a cuppa and a good sing. We’ve had some fabulous feedback and we aim to make the session relaxed and enjoyable.  We sing songs from the shows, popular songs and carols at Christmas time.

There is no need to be able to read music.  People have enjoyed themselves so much they want to meet more often, so we have now increased our meetings to twice a month.”

Opera Worcester have introduced their community choir in order to provide a range of music that everyone can enjoy.

We offer something for everyone so I urge people to explore our website and get involved during this very special year of celebration .”
