The Society is always interested in welcoming new members. Opera Worcester is committed to the very highest production values so there are always numerous opportunities for non-performers.

You could be part of the team involved in bringing a first-class production to the stage.  We need people to help with front-of house activities, assisting with props, costumes, stage management, publicity or serving on the committee. These wide range of supporting roles are as vital as the people on the stage.

Opera Worcester is now looking for more performers. We rehearse 7.30pm Monday evenings at St Mark Church Hall, Bath Road, Worcester WR5 3DW.

Annual membership runs from 1^st August of one year to 31^st October of the following year.

Fees 

Annual fees are as follows:

Basic membership                             £30

Performing in the show                    an additional £80

Performing in the April concert      an additional £10 (unless paid show fees)

Performing in the July concert        an additional £10

People in full time education receive a 50% discount.

No refunds will be given if people drop out of performances.

Membership Admission 

Admission to membership is at the discretion of the Trustees.  Singers may be required to satisfy the Trustees as to their suitability, which will be subject to review from time to time.

The Trustees have the power to expel any member who contravenes the Charity’s rules or whose conduct, in the opinion of the Trustees, is not appropriate for membership.

Payments 

Initial payments are due between 1^st August and 31^st October each year, although later payments are allowed for those who join after this date.

If paying for performing in the show, rather than making a single payment, payments can be made in two instalments over the year, which will be due on 31^st October and 31^st January.

Performances, Social Events, Voting Rights and Committee Membership 

Members will be invited to social events and are entitled to attend the appropriate rehearsals and performances for concerts and shows.  Members will be given notice of AGMs and EGMs.

Only paid up members have voting rights at AGMs and EGMs and can stand for Committee membership and become Trustees.
