The Society is always interested in welcoming new members. Opera Worcester is committed to the very highest production values so there are always numerous opportunities for non-performers.

You could be part of the team involved in bringing a first-class production to the stage.  We need people to help with front-of house activities, assisting with props, costumes, stage management, publicity or serving on the committee. These wide range of supporting roles are as vital as the people on the stage.

Opera Worcester is now looking for more performers. We rehearse 7.30pm Monday evenings at St Mark Church Hall, Bath Road, Worcester WR5 3DW.

Why not challenge yourself? Come along and enjoy a warm welcome

If you are interested in being involved in any way, please email our Membership Secretary at or complete the online membership form here

Annual membership runs from 1st August of one year to 31st October of the following year.

Annual fees are as follows:

Basic membership                             £30

Performing in the show                    an additional £80

Performing in a concert                   an additional £20

People in full time education receive a 50% discount.

For subscriptions due from 1st April 2024 onwards, two people who are not claiming the 50% full time education discount, who are in an immediate family and who are both members, receive a 20% discount on the elements that they both pay for.

For instance, two immediate family members who both pay their basic membership and the concert fee after 1st April 2024 would pay £40 each instead of £50 each, but if one had performed in the show and had already paid their basic membership then they would each pay £16 concert fee, but the second one would pay the full £30 basic membership.

Immediate family means partners, parents and children and brothers and sisters.

No refunds will be given if people drop out of performances.

Membership Admission

Admission to membership is at the discretion of the Trustees.  Singers may be required to satisfy the Trustees as to their suitability, which will be subject to review from time to time.

The Trustees have the power to expel any member who contravenes the Charity’s rules or whose conduct, in the opinion of the Trustees, is not appropriate for membership.

Initial payments are due between 1st August and 31st October each year, although later payments are allowed for those who join after this date.

If paying for performing in the show, rather than making a single payment, payments can be made in two instalments over the year, which will be due on 31st October and 31st January.

The easiest way to pay is by BACS transfer.  Our account details are as follows:
