The GWOS production of Cox and Box swept the board at the Worcestershire Theatre Festival of One Act Plays at Droitwich in March, winning four of the seven trophies for which we were eligible. This success qualified us to perform in the Quarter-Final of the All-England Theatre Festival, which took place at Ledbury in April. Unfortunately we did not gain first or second place there, either of which would have put us through to the Semi-Final.
Shortly afterwards, however, we were informed that the Adjudicator in the first round, at Droitwich, had liked our performance so much that he had recommended that we be invited to perform at the All-Winners Festival, to be held at Woking in July. Such an invitation is apparently quite a distinction, so we were delighted to learn recently that we have indeed been invited to perform at Woking.
Our performance will be at the Rhoda McGaw Theatre in Woking on Friday 24th July, at about 9.00 p.m.
