Happy New Year!
A huge thank you for everything you do for the Christmas concert. I can confirm the total raised this year is £1,831 as we have just received the extra match funding secured by Emma and Lloyds. This is a terrific amount and in real terms could pay for a Hospice at Home Healthcare Assistant for a month (this is the full cost of employment including all on-costs). Experienced Healthcare Assistants provide nursing care to enable patients to remain at home in the last days of life. The team offers support including crisis intervention, support to those living alone, additional pre-admission and post-discharge support, and carer support.
This is a great achievement and I hope that everyone involved in the event will feel really proud of the amount raised.
