Fernhill House Care Home has become the first local business to sponsor Opera Worcester’s 2019 production of Cavalleria Rusticana and I Pagliacci at the Swan Theatre, this May.
Mike Dearn, Home Manager said, “ We are very pleased to support this local aspiring society. It’s also a great opportunity for us to highlight what we offer in the local community.”
Fernhill House opened in 2017 and has established itself as one of the most sought -after homes in Worcester. The dedicated team provide residential, nursing and dementia care.
Mr Dearn added, “Music is highly important for the wellbeing of our residents and so there is a synergy with what Opera Worcester are offering. We are hoping to grow our relationship and perhaps provide concerts and other musical offerings to our patients in the future.”
Chairman of Opera Worcester, Caroline Causier comments, ”We are the only society offering Grand Opera locally. We aim to continue to offer opportunities for singers and musicians but a production of this kind is an enormous undertaking for all concerned. As well as building mutually beneficial relationships, the support from a local business, like Fernhill House, is incredibly important to us and makes all the difference to the quality of what we are able to offer. We are extremely grateful to Mike Dearn for his support this year.”
